James O. Fraioli is an award-winning author and an internationally recognized travel writer. He is the author of six books on a wide range of subjects.

His recent book: Ocean Friendly Cuisine: Sustainable Seafood Recipes from the World’s Finest Chefs has appeared in The New York Times, presented at the White House, and featured on the Food Network’s The Essence of Emeril.

Fraioli is also a contributing writer and professional photographer for 18 magazines, including the Editor-at-Large for Touring & Tasting Magazine (acclaimed wine publication) and the Features Editor for Dining & Destinations Magazine.

Seasoned, skilled and well-known for both the speed and grace of his writing, Fraioli is currently working with marine advocate Jean-Michel Cousteau on an illustrated adventure series for kids, an Italian festival cookbook for Gibbs Smith Publishing, and a horrific true-story based on the most abused woman in the United States.


Prior to his fulltime writing career, Fraioli spent eight years in the motion-picture and television industry in Hollywood working primarily for FOX, Walt Disney and Warner Bros. He resides in Santa Barbara, California. www.whiteshark.net
