Submission Guidelines

Please allow four to six weeks for a response to your query or proposal and indicate if your work is a simultaneous submission. A query by email is preferred, but do not send full proposals and chapters as attachments, send them by mail to the address below.

If we are interested in seeing more of your work or in representing you, we will contact you. There is never a reading fee for the reviewing of your work. Please use the following submission guidelines.

For Nonfiction:

A query letter is sufficient to see if we are interested in your idea and would like to see a full book proposal. If we are interested in reviewing your work for representation we will request an overview, author bio, marketing plans, analysis of competitive/complementary books and a table of contents with at least two sample chapters. The book does not have to be completed for me to represent it. Please do NOT send full manuscripts unless requested to do so. Send your query to info@andreahurst.com. For Adult Fiction and Narrative Nonfiction:

Please submit a query letter first describing your project and your background as a writer. This can be sent by email or mailed to the address below.

If I am interested in seeing the project, I will request a synopsis, author bio and three sample chapters by mail. The book should be completed before submitting it to me.
